Joaquin Phoenix

Joaquin Phoenix was born in the San Juan suburb of Río Piedras. Brother of River Phoenix, another fine actor, Joaquin Phoenix is best known for his terrific portrayal of Johnny Cash in Walk the Line and for his easily hateable Emperor Commodus in Gladiator. He seems to have a particular skill and penchant for playing brooding characters with a dark side with a shadow of pain and suffering in them; a funny typecast for a die-hard vegan and active human rights activist.
