What constitutes a good business hotel? Start with enough comfortable accommodations to host a big group. Add a spaacious, well-designed and well-appointed meeting space. Throw in top-quality facilities and technology, backed by a fully equipped business center. And let's not forget the ability to keep your attendees well fed and happy! Finally, take location into consideration, both for business and leisure.
With those criteria in mind, here are my votes for Puerto Rico's best business hotels.

First and foremost is the Sheraton's proximity to the sleek and stylish Puerto Rico Convention Center, Puerto Rico's premier event space. The hotel's 500 guestrooms can host a group of any size, and that group will be more than comfortable in its modern and spacious accommodations.
The hotel's 35,000 square feet of meeting space is unparalleled. The conference center holds up to 1,800 attendees; the 16,000-square-foot San Juan Grand Ballroom is the city's largest; and the outdoor sundeck is perfect for a business soiree or private reception.
Finally, after your event, you can chill out on the pleasant pool deck, test your luck in the casino, or destress at the excellent spa.

The golf courses rank among the best on the island and the Grand Atlantic Conference Center provides two conference areas, two ballrooms, and 16 breakout rooms. In total, that's over 100,000 square feet of meeting and event space, more than any other resort in the Caribbean.

Corporate & Incentive Travel Magazine, the Rio Mar Beach Resort takes you away from the bustle of San Juan and places you on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean. The lovely 48,000 square-foot Oceanfront Conference Center has the Caribbean's largest ballroom at 20,913 square feet, alog with landscaped, predesigned outdoor function space and banquets and theme parties for up to 1,800. The hotel also offers planned group golf and tennis events. Given that the majority of their clients are groups, they're clearly doing something right to cater to this market.

Conrad San Juan Condado Plaza received in 2010 the Elite Platinum Certificate by Elite Meetings, a leading industry provider to meeting and hospitality professionals. The hotel earned the designation for exceeding industry standards in accommodations, activities, food and beverage, meeting facilities and service. With 41,000 square feet of meeting space and 18 conference rooms accommodating up to 1,100 guests, the Conrad is well-equipped to cater to meetings and events, and its oceanfront location, casino and excellent restaurants provide plenty of extra amenities and services. Finally, the pleasant rooms follow a tropical cool decor and provide spacious accommodations with wonderful views of ocean or lagoon.

The resort's meeting planners are CMP-certified with the Convention Industry Council. The hotel features 13 breakout meeting and banquet rooms, comprising more than 27,018 square feet of space. Headlining the space are the Puerto Rico Grand Ballroom, a sprawling 11,946 square foot space with a capacity for 1,050, and the 9,600 square foot El Yunque Junior Ballroom, which can seat 500.
