- Big on service and hospitality.
- A stone's throw away from the beach.
- A solid choice for budget travelers and backpackers.
- Some rooms are quite bare.
- The outside isn't much to look at.
- Definitely opt for the room on the second floor, which comes with a comfy sleigh bed and plenty of space to spread out.
- Each room comes with private bath, refrigerator, air conditioning, and (small) TV.
- Each floor has a microwave and coffee maker, and the two uppoer floor rooms have a balcony.
Wildflowers fits in with its environment perfectly. It has a total of eight rooms, ranging from smaller affairs with bunk beds that is ideal for families on a budget or students, and a few second-story rooms which are more spacious and comfortable. For the money, you get comfort, private bathroom, and above all the warm hospitality of the owner and manager, Santa, who is always willing to help her guests. If you're going to the beach, for example, she will be happy to supply you with a cooler for the day. It's that kind of personal touch that makes Wildflowers stand out.
Of course, it helps that the guest house is just around the block from Playa Boquerón, one of the most popular beaches in Porta del Sol. On holiday weekends (many weekends, actually), this little corner of the island gets packed with locals and tourists enjoying an indolent day out. Stalls selling fresh oysters, street food, and other goodies line the narrow roads, and there is a general atmosphere of lazy revelry in the air. And it's all just steps away from Wildflowers.
