- October 1-2: The towns of Aguada, Cabo Rojo, Ciales, Naranjito and Utuado celebrate their annual patron saint festivals.
- October 1-November 30: The incredible Bodyworlds exhibition of the human body arrives in San Juan for a limited time at the Galeria Paseo Portuario in Old San Juan.
- October 6: Evanescence launches their new album and goes on a world tour, with a one-night stop at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in Hato Rey, San Juan.
- October 7-9: The 20th Edition of the Corona Pro Surf Circuit comes to Middles, Isabela, with a $37,000 prize purse up for grabs.
- October 19-23: Cirque du Soleil's spectacular Dralion comes to the Coliseo de Puerto Rico, combining eastern and western acrobatics and artistry.
- October 20-26Oh, the horror! The Horror Film Fest, that is, which comes to the San Patricio mall in Guaynabo.
- October 22: Puerto Rico's Mix 107.7, Puerto Rico's contemporary Latin radio station, throws a Mix Halloween concert at the Estadio Sixto Escobar in San Juan.
- October 28-30: Old San Juan welcomes its first international tango festival, Tango del Encanto. The event will include over 30 hours of dancing, a beach milonga, masquerade ball, numerous tango workshops, DJ classes, and performances.
- October 30: If there is one Halloween concert I'd want to go to in Puerto Rico this year, it's this one: a philharmonic orchestra mix of music from movies like Harry Potter, Halloween, The Omen, Psycho, Jaws, and more.
