Chef Wilo Represents at Top Chef Masters
I've been a bit late catching up on my reality TV, but I've finally gotten around to watching Bravo TV's Top Chef Masters. And I have take my hat off to Chef Wilo Benet. He won his quick-fire challenge and then hit a major curve ball when he was given a beef heart to work with. It proved to be his undoing, but the final result was close, and Chef Wilo did Puerto Rico proud (check out his exit interview).
Of course, if you haven't heard of Chef Wilo, you got a good introduction at what he's all about on the show, but that's nothing compared to dining at one of his three San Juan restaurants. I've got plenty to say about Pikayo (the first restaurant on my site to get a five-star rating) and Varita (which isn't far behind), and my review of Payá is forthcoming. When you eat here, you'll understand why Chef Wilo belongs with the very best at what he does.
