Christmas in the Mountains

This Saturday, there's a little event going on in rustic and remote Utuado that I had to highlight, because it is a typical small-town Puerto Rico celebration. Christmas in Our Beautiful Mountains is less about Christmas and more about getting out into nature, enjoying being on a lake surrounded by lush green mountains, and seeing a more colloquial side of the island. It's a free, all-day event (from 3 to 9 p.m.) that you might want to consider if you like hopping in a rental car and making for the open road.
