Not a lot of major events taking place in Puerto Rico in September, but that's okay, because there are plenty of ongoing activities to keep tourists entertained. These include:
- Le Lo Lai Festivals - periodic music, dance and cultural events hosted by the Puerto Rico Tourism Company.
- Noche de Galerķas - This is a night for art-lovers, when Old San Juan's galleries throw their doors open late into the night and welcome tourists to browse their work and drink a glass of wine. This month's event takes place on September 1.
- Festival La Casita - Held the first Saturday of the month (that'll be September 6), this free event centers on music and folkloric dance shows in the evening. Head to Paseo La Princesa around 6 pm to enjoy.
- Children's Theater - Held the third Sunday of the month (September 21) beginning at 4 pm, this event, also on Paseo La Princesa features puppet shows, food, and street performers on hand to entertain the kids.
- September 8 - in the towns of Aguas Buenas, Hormigueros, Jayuya, Moca, and Salinas.
- September 29 - in the towns of Cabo Rojo, Naranjito, and Utuado.
