All-In-One Destinations: El San Juan Hotel & Casino

Thursday July 10, 2008
Just the name tells you you're getting more than a hotel ... but you're even getting a whole lot more than a hotel and a casino. The free-form pool and Isla Verde beach should help you soak up the sun at the El San Juan Hotel & Casino; the variety of restaurants, from Caribbean to Italian to Japanese, should help you find something you love to eat; and the twelve shops comprised predominantly of high-end jewelry shops will definitely help you find something for a special occasion.

But the true charm of the El San Juan is its timeless ambience, the retro style of its lobby, where Sammy Davis, Jr. once hung out and where celebs still can be found. The all-in-oneness of it is especially prevalent at night, when casino, disco, live band and rum bar compete for your attention. Put it this way: you can hop from spa to beach to pool to craps to award-winning pasta to diamond earrings to iPod-ready room and never leave the shadow of the hotel. All in one? I think so.
