All-In-One Destinations: El Conquistador Resort

Tuesday July 8, 2008
It's fairly safe to report that any place that requires a cable car to access some of its rooms and sports its own private island, golf course, water park and spa is a runaway candidate for consideration as an all-in-one destination. The El Conquistador Resort & Golden Door Spa is all that and more. Perched on a bluff overlooking the ocean, the resort is large enough, and stocked enough, to entertain a small village. Possibly even a large one. Here's visual proof of the hotel's many exemplar services and facilities, which include:
  • No less than six separate areas of guest accommodations sorted into ten different room classifications.
  • Palomino Island, a 100-acre private and gorgeous sandbar in the Caribbean. Guests can take a catamaran to the island, where hammocks, lounge chairs, and waiters await. No other hotel in Puerto Rico can claim that.
  • The Coqui Water Park - A brand new, only-one-of-its kind park that easily makes El Conquistador the top kid-friendly hotel in Puerto Rico. With a veriety of tubes, slides, rope bridges, pools, and a lazy river within the park grounds, it's a fun place for kids of all ages.
  • The 18-hole, Par 72 Arthur Hills Golf Course, a challenging course with breathtaking views of both the Atlantic Ocean and the rainforest.
  • The 26,000-square-foot, three-level Golden Door Spa, which includes a fitness center and a full array of spa and salon services.
  • Casino, tennis courts, kids' camp, marina, and more ...
